VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Our shelter could not exist without the support of our volunteers who bring a diversity of interests, knowledge, expertise and caring to our organization.  We look forward to a long and productive relationship.

 

Calling all Cat Connoisseurs!

Please visit our cat house and interact with our adoptable cats and kittens.  Many of our felines enjoy being held, spoken to and played with.

 

Donate a Day (or an hour or two) with the Dogs!

Even with all the activity in our shelter, dogs can get bored.  They need friends to talk with and to play ball, frisbee to take them for walks.  In addition, some dogs need help with their manners, and volunteers can help teach them basic commands.

NOTE: For safety reasons, volunteers must be at least 18 years old or 13 and older accompanied by an adult.

 

Share your Strengths at our Shelter!

Behind the scenes of the shelter are volunteers helping staff manage the information and paperwork needed to support our programs and services.

- Help answer phones, take messages, assist in filing, preform reference checks and more to help out our Adoptions Team

- Assist in fundraising, gathering corporate sponsors, and maintaining off-site donation cans

- Help promote our mission through education and related events

- Assist our staff in maintaining the shelter property by landscaping, grounds maintenance, minor repairs, painting or anyway you can help by providing your services

 

Assist in Offsite Events

 

Assist our Event Coordinator by helping staff our booth at special events and to distribute literature and information about Adopt-A-Dog at local community venus.  To get a list of upcoming appearances, CLICK HERE

 

Volunteer Hours:

10AM to 6PM on Weekdays

10AM to 4PM on Weekends

 

Adopt-A-Dog is a community service friendly organization.
