Corporate Volunteer Program: Paws for a Cause
We believe in the power of paws to transform the workplace and positively impact the community. With our “Paws for a Cause” Corporate Volunteer Program, your company can foster a sense of teamwork, give back to the community, and create lasting memories — all while making a difference for the animals at our shelter.
Here’s how your team can get involved:
1) Volunteer at the Shelter
Duration: 2-3 hours (dependent on # of volunteers)
Days: Weekdays (12 pm – 4 pm)
Volunteers: Up to 15 people
Donation: $2,500
Gather your team for a paws-itive day of bonding and service! Begin with a quick orientation and tour of the shelter before diving into various volunteer activities. Tasks can vary based on shelter needs but typically include:
- Cleaning: Dusting, sweeping, mopping, washing food bowls
- Walking Dogs: A few laps around the shelter grounds
- Organizing Donations: Sorting pet food, toys, and supplies
- Bathing Puppies: Helping puppies stay clean and fresh
- Stuffing Dog Toys with Treats: A fun way to enrich the dogs’ playtime
- Creating Social Media Content: Making videos and photos of animals to help them get adopted to send to the Social Media Manager.
2) Hike with Shelter Dogs
Hours: 12 pm-3 pm
Days: Weekdays (some weekends possible)
Volunteers: Up to 10
Donation: $3,500 – $4,000
Get your team out of the office and into nature for a meaningful day of hiking with shelter dogs. We’ll pair your group with lucky shelter dogs for an adventure in the great outdoors. A staff member will join you to lead the hike and ensure the dogs stay safe and happy.
- Packed lunch/snacks and water are recommended for the hike
- Opportunity for team bonding while giving the dogs a fun outing
3) Dogs on Demand
Duration: 1-2 hours
Days: Weekdays (12 pm- 4 pm)
Donation: $4,000 (for 2 hours)
Can’t bring your dog to work? No problem! Let us bring the dogs to you. We’ll bring 2-4 adoptable puppies (or friendly dogs) to your office or event, so your team can enjoy some canine companionship during the workday.
